Omar Cham a native of Sukuta base in Norway on Wednesday 4th January, 2017 donate football materials to Sukuta's most vunurable Football academy which was founded in 2014 by a Young man Sheikh Ahmad Tijan Bojang knows as T.boy.
The presentation ceremony held at his Residence saw the distribution of
three sets of Umbro jerseys, socks, gloves and 50 footballs.
OC lavik known for helping youths in the community especially sports
hails the importance of helping the talents at the grassroot level. Mr Cham
recalled his playing days and when on to urge the beneficiaries to take the
materials with care. He expressed delight over the number of talents he show in
the setup.
The Founder of the Academy Sheikh
Ahmad Tijan Bojang a young coach, thanked Mr. Cham for his gesture and loud his
commitment to the community saying the
materials came at a time of need for the academy. The Coach spoke on the significant
of Football as one of the best ways to be happy and have a decent life if
successful. He recalled the challenges they've face at the start but believe
things will get where they wanted it by the grace of the supreme God. He
concluded by saying they have many plans for the year 2017 and are ready to set
up a female academy soon.
One of the aspiring young female coach Bintou Jatta also commended Mr.
Cham for the kind gesture and urge parents to help their children in sports calling
on others to do the same as Omar.
The Academy was founded in 2014 and registered under West Regional
Football Academy Association in 2016. The Academy currently have more than
fifty kids in different categories and they are set to take part in the West coast region academy tournament at
Brikama box bar mini stadium.
